L.P. Thompson Insurance Agency is an active and involved member of our community. As a member of three local Chambers of Commerce, (Greater Gouverneur, Watertown and Black Lake) L.P. Thompson Insurance participates in a number of community events. One of the more unique ways we are involved in our community is with our support of Mike Trapp's #70 racing car.
For Mike Trapp, L.P.Thompson Insurance Agency is an important part of his racing team. Mike's car is a 1996 Saturn coupe. Featured prominantly on the hood is L.P. Thompson Insurance. Mike races in the "Thunder Car" classes at Thunder Alley in nearby Evans Mills and at the Can-Am Speedway in LaFargeville. In a recent (May 4, 2006) article in the Gouverneur Tribune Press, Mike comments on the "family atmosphere" of local racing. The members of that family include the businesses who support the racing teams. Mike has a lot of fans in the Gouverneur area who also rely on L.P. Thompson for their auto and insurance needs.
